Most gut health conversations focus on probiotics and fibre. Those matter but they’re downstream of a more fundamental issue that almost nobody talks about: blood sugar dysregulation and its direct impact on gut health.
Here’s what happens when you eat a high-carbohydrate meal. Blood glucose rises rapidly. Insulin spikes to clear it. If this happens repeatedly multiple times a day, every day the constant insulin signalling creates a systemic inflammatory environment. And inflammation doesn’t stay localised.
